First Version Of My Front Cover

This is my final, first version, of my music magazine. Since the last draft, I have included more conventions, to allow the cover to include information that is relevant to the genre, and to the inside content of the magazine. I have tried to keep to a colour scheme, as I have used the colours that were most voted for from my questionnaire shown in my planning. I believe, that from my cover, it is clear that it is a Hip-Hop based magazine, and I have used methods that a lot of other Hip-Hop magazines use on their own front covers, to allow mine to look professional. My main image is bold and fits with the design and layout of the cover, and also complements the colours used. I have also used different fonts, colours and sizes for the text to allow my cover to be effective and eye-catching. Overall, I really like my first version of my front cover, and believe it ticks all of the boxes for my genre, and for a front cover in general.

First Edit Of My Front Cover

This is as far as I have got on creating my music magazine front cover. So far, I have included some basic and essential features like my masthead. As said in my magazine proposal and other planning documents, I have decided to name my magazine 'BASS' as it links in with the music genre, and is quick and snappy to say. I have also added current Hip-Hop artists below this, to ensure that these artists will be included and featured within the magazine, as it allows a larger range of fans to be interested in the contents of the magazine. I have added my my main article name 'Chey is Unstoppable' as it relates to the main artist of the magazine, and also highlights importance of the artist and article through the larger and bolder font of the text. Lastly, I have added a barcode to add reality and professionalism to the magazine, in an effort to make the magazine look more believable. However, this isn't my finished product, and I still have a lot of aspects to add, to allow my front cover to be as fitting as possible for a Hip-Hop based print.
